In need of minor repairs (e.g. bathroom door had a hole in it - legacy from some former clients). Noisy neigbourhood - bagpipes were playing in the middle of the night. Plus points- good location, good breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff.

Only 2 mins from Paddington station, friendly staff and good breakfast. Will stay here next time in London.

The hotel was not the cleanest I have ever stayed in, with months of dust on certain objects. Requested a foam pillow on the first morning as unable to sleep on feather, receptionists grasp of english not very good and spent our stay sleeping without any pillows.

The room had not been cleaned all that well and was a bit shabby. Had sheets on bed which did not fit properly, we had feather pillows which I am unable to sleep on. Requested foam ones the first morning, but the foreign receptionists english was not very good as I never received one for the whole stay. I had to sleep without a pillow.

Id reserved a room at the Avon hotel and when I got there we were told that there was no room and that we would have to stay at another hotel round the corner, the Athena Hotel. This room was so small, just big enough to fit the double bed in. It smelt of cigarettes, the bed sheets were dirty and still smelt of mens aftershave. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall, and there was a dirty brown line above the headboard. Overall not a very pleasant experience, Im glad I only had to stay there for 1 night.

its london, its 58 quid a night for a double room, not much you can argue with really. nothing particularly great to say about it, but nothing bad either. tho the room was very small. would recommend for a night or 2.

this hotel was fine for me, it is a good basic hotel, ensuite with TV and coffee making in the room. It was clean and everything worked. it is in a great location just 5 minutes walk from Paddington station. Cooked breakfast was nice. For the price and location I would stay there again

The location of the hotel was good as it was near to underground, trains, tour bus, and oxford shopping street. Unfortunately we were on the 4th flour in a hotel which had no lift, it was also a bit claustophobic. The food was good.

I arrived at the hotel and the receptionist told me you had cancelled my reservation because they were fully booked. You never informed me of that. Receptionist was kind to arrange me in a quad room and I had the following day to change room. The breakfast lounge is smelly because there is no way out of windows of fried bacon smoke/fumes. Disgusting !!!!

Not the hotel I booked I arrived at the Avon Hotel at 7pm only to be told that they were full. This was despite the fact that I had a credit card reservation. I was told I would be put in the boulevard hotel, just round the corner. The room was tiny
